23TRA325 Placing Well-Being & Mental Health at the Heart of Your Teaching (Primary)
DATE: WEDNESDAY, 19th APRIL 2023
TIME: 7.00PM - 8.00PM
VENUE: ONLINE VIA ZOOM
Well-being and mental health are the essential foundations to help children to flourish and reach their potential. Now, with the added challenges that children have faced over the last 2 years, it is more important than ever for us to nurture their well-being and mental health and put it at the heart of our teaching.
This webinar will outline many practical ways for teachers to do this in day-to day classroom life. A combination of support and skills is essential, with an emphasis on building positive relationships, supporting emotional regulation, enhancing positivity and promoting healthy, helpful thinking.
Tutor: Fiona Forman, M. Sc. Applied Positive Psychology
Fiona is a former primary teacher and is co-author of the Weaving Well-Being Programme. Having worked in schools for many years, both as a class teacher and in special needs, she is passionate about placing the well-being of the school community at the heart of school life.
