NCCA Focus Groups

The NCCA is inviting teachers and principals to have your say on the redeveloped primary
curriculum. Following the publication of the Primary Curriculum Framework last year, consultation will take place
on five draft specifications in the areas of:
 Arts Education
 Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)
 Social and Environmental Education
 Science, Technology and Engineering
 Wellbeing
The consultation will run from March 6 th to June 7 th , 2024.
As part of the consultation, NCCA will host a number of in-person and online focus groups, where teachers and school leaders can share their views on proposals. In person focus groups will be held at the following venues:

Dublin West Education Centre March 20 th , 3.45pm-5.15pm

Sligo Education Centre April 9 th , 3.45pm-5.15pm
Cork Education Centre April 10 th , 3.45pm-5.15pm
Galway Education Centre (trí ghaeilge) April 16 th , 3.45pm-5.15pm

Annual Conference & AGM 2024 -Irish Maths Teachers Association

For the attention of Maths Teachers,

Team Maths registration closes on Thursday this week, February 22nd at 5pm. This is a competition for 6th Year Higher Level students. All details can be found at https://imta.ie/team-maths/
The Team Math competition has been a long running activity of the Irish Maths Teachers’ Association with local rounds since 1991 and National Finals since 2005.
Our annual conference & AGM is on this Saturday, February 24th. Registration is essential and can be done at Maths Conference 2024
